Silent and reliable
Galvanization facility
Six transport trolleys move material through the
individual stations in this galvanization plant. Until
today they were equipped with towing and ribbon
cables that are mounted to ball-beared transport
rolls and guided in a galvanized profil rail. Transport
rolls and the profil rail were susceptible to
faults and caused noise while the trolleys travel. Such expensive faults could be eliminated by
using the corrosion-resistant e-chain® from igus®.
The system operates very silent now.
